Message from the CEO

Starting from a ‘seed’ that aspired to become a giant tree in the cosmetics sector roughly ten years ago, the golden age of Korean cosmetics sparked a fever epidemic in Thailand. Khun Boom, who formerly worked in the cosmetics sector, understood the frustrations of Thais who wanted to utilize Korean cosmetics but were unable to do so due to hues and product textures that were inappropriate for our climate. This prompted him to take advantage of this 'opportunity' to establish a Thai brand designed specifically for Thai consumers. The seedlings then began to develop roots in the dirt, hoping to grow into huge trees in the future. However, it appears that their day has come sooner than they expected, since the first product, Snail Smooth BB Cream, was an instant success and has made Merrez'ca famous to this day. This is due to the fact that they were one of the first Thai businesses to offer BB cream that could change color to match the user's skin tone. Merrez'ca is another company that has been impacted by the expansion of that day and the crisis that many brands are currently experiencing. Khun Boom stated that when he first encountered the situation, he had many questions about whether he would survive and what to do because people who work from home rarely wear makeup. Furthermore, there is a technology that aids in the application of makeup during online meetings, making cosmetics increasingly unnecessary. However, real studies revealed that individuals continue to crave for beauty in real life. This is seen in the more than 97.7 million conversations on Twitter about beauty and skincare over the last year (based on Brand Watch's survey results from October 2020 to September 2021). This prompted Khun Boom to continue inventing cosmetic goods. Merrez'ca's main Twitter approach is to leverage Influencer Marketing, which allows consumers to test items to solve their own pain areas. As a result, the brand emphasizes influencer reviews. What distinguishes Merrez'ca is that the hired influencers' opinions are not restricted in any way. Who would have anticipated that a small "seed" that wanted to enter the beauty market would develop, blossom, and mature into a robust tree proudly named Merrez'ca. Regardless of how many crises it faces, this tree is prepared to be flexible, adapt, and handle the situation intelligently. There's no disputing that a large part of it is due to the wonderful fertilizer provided by Twitter, a platform that allows marketers to understand their customers and engage with them honestly and rapidly, opening doors of potential for various industries, including beauty.
